yet again
hello campers. i was lured into the trap of completing yet another meme...only this time i was tagged! yes! i'm popular! and since i'm practically required to do whatever ms.pink says, here i go (at least i get to talk about music which is so much better than my favorite color). okay, enough with the justifications!
the rules: list seven songs you are into right now. no matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they’re any good, but they must be songs you’re really enjoying now. post these instructions in your blog along with your seven songs. then tag seven other people to see what they’re listening to. 1) gravy train - hella nervous. i totally get stuck on things forevah, but i am still in love with gravy train from when i saw them live in paris before le tigre.
2) my robot friend - walking jewish. totally irreverent, as i like it!
3) kylie minogue - come into my world (fischerspooner remix). why is it that kylie has generally shit music (with a couple exceptions) but then some really fantastic remixes? by the awesomeness that is fischerspooner? this is like the best remix ever ever made. ever.
4) vive la fete - nuit blanche. this belgian group is rocking my world right now. it's hard to choose just one.
5) peaches - fuck the pain away. do i ever get tired of this song? answer: no. never.
6) avenue d - do i look like a slut? performance art, vulgar lyrics, and smoov moves. do i see a pattern emerging?
7) lesbians on ecstasy - tell me does she love the bass. i have no way to describe how good this song/band are. electroclash meets lesbian folk anthems. this takes a rock 'n' roll melissa etheridge song and makes it all creepy and stalkerish with a great beat, and you can't beat that with a stick.
yes! i am tagging others. who to tag? i could try to get people to blog, but that doesn't work, so why bother? instead, i'll tag people who might actually play along! hoorah. scott (who always has good music recommendations), j-a (who seriously needs to forward me her new blog url), teahouse blossom (who should have something fun), fernifer (who i know has good taste), lola (who knows what i like), wooj (who has returned from hiatus), and devlyn (who needs to buy champagne and strawberries for her co-workers).

You should also send me a mix c.d. Why? Because I've been in a music funk recently, which is also the reason that I will not be participating in this meme - I am not particularly enjoying any music right now. Sad and pathetic, am I.
