bill sali is a moron

"The American Cancer Society, the World Health Organization, the National Cancer Institute, the National Women's Health Network and the National Breast Cancer Coalition all say research shows that having an abortion does not lead to an increased risk of breast cancer. But several groups opposed to abortion say other research establishes the link."

but even with the information above, rep. bill sali still insists that there is a link between abortion and breast cancer, based upon research conducted by some bogus right wing think tank which has appropriated a very publicized cause (breast cancer research/prevention) for it's own anti-choice agenda. as david cross said, and i am paraphrasing, on the one hand you have cold, hard, irrefutable facts, and on the other hand you have bill sali and the right wing's opinion based upon faulty research.

in other news, i have been reading the handbook re: my new grad program and am v. excited. but it's all really boring stuff, so i won't share.

also in other news, we were discussing a practical joke for our friend to play on her significant other which would basically be buying an ann coulter book for him, but i thought the joke would be much funnier if he came home and "caught" her manually pleasuring herself to the ann coulter book (obvs. it would all be a setup). i mean, just giving him the book really wouldn't be much of a joke, she needs to put a little effort into it!
