allez les bleus!

hi. i don't normally really care about sports very much. i mean, okay, when i was younger i was pretty obsessed with the NBA (surprisingly enough), and i played soccer and tennis in school, but for the last however many years i haven't had the patience to sit down and watch a full game/match/round (much to the chagrin of ms. pink during football season). however! even though i have only been tuning in for a few minutes at a time for some of the world cup games, i have to say i feel heavily emotionally invested in the outcome of today's final game of italy versus france. one can't help but know who zidane is after spending any amount of time in france, and given the fact that france has made it to the final (especially after beating brasil!) i can't help but be excited and nervous about today's match against the italians. as i said to my vespa-lovin' amica lola, it's ON.

and, you know, whatever the outcome, at least it was exciting to see la france make it this far. i just wish i had been in france this year to experience the excitement firsthand. alas.
